About Dayna
Dayna is a Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner and Acupuncturist (TCMP, R.Ac), who focuses on pain management, musculoskeletal injuries, women’s health, and facial acupuncture. Her fascination with the human body is what fuels her passion to help people move better. She strongly believes movement to be the key to longevity. She lives a very active lifestyle and has a passion to help others live the same way doing the things they love. Outside the clinic you can find her skiing, hiking, golfing, and on the water paddle-boarding or swimming.
Growing up on a cattle farm in Alberta, with an abundance of space to run and having a deep connection to nature, is what inspired Dayna to pursue a career in holistic healthcare. Her extroverted personality is naturally reflected in her care and compassion for others.
Dayna began her studies at MacEwan University in Edmonton, Alberta, studying a combination of sciences, and then Acupuncture where she received her Diploma of Acupuncture. After graduation and completing her registration exams, she furthered her career and moved to Victoria, BC. She attended Pacific Rim College to deepen her knowledge of Traditional Chinese Medicine, learning herbal medicine, to become a Doctor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. She currently holds registration as a Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner (R.TCMP) in British Columbia, and will be writing her doctorate exams in 2025 (D.TCM).
With her passion of Western physiology of the human body, and Traditional Chinese Medicine theory, she approaches her treatments with a combination of both medicines. Using IMS/dry-needling technique (also know as motor-point acupuncture), to target pain and sport injuries, with the addition of Traditional Chinese Medicine theory and needling techniques, her treatments are suitable for all. She believes eastern and western medicine should compliment each other, and therefore reflects this in her treatments.
Treating a range of conditions from acute or chronic injuries, to fertility, Dayna approaches each patient individually and creates a treatment plan specifically for you.
